Our principals are uncharacteristically hands-on, which sets us apart from our competition. An estimate doesn’t go out the door without a principal in the company putting eyes on it and they regularly attend progress meetings with our project management team to make sure they are tuned in to the status of each project. We’ve learned through experience that customers appreciate the fact that their project is important to us, and we see it through from start to finish. With collectively over 120 years of experience in the industry, MLP’s principals have established a proven recipe for success.
David’s experience comes from years spent working in all aspects of the mechanical construction industry. He began as an apprentice plumber and moved quickly into project management, estimating and eventually Vice President and later President of a major mechanical contractor in the area. Ownership was the natural next step and David hasn’t looked back since. His primary focus is our plumbing division on top of overseeing day to day operations as Vice President of MLP.
Michael’s career began in a similar fashion as David’s. His expertise comes from years of getting his hands dirty. Michael began as a steamfitter’s apprentice and later worked as a journeyman, foreman and later on a service truck. His career made a transition to the management side as he progressed rather quickly to Executive Vice President of a local contractor. He recognized a great opportunity in a partnership with David and Tom and was instrumental in getting MLP off the ground. Michael’s focus is our HVAC and design/build divisions as well as the day to day tasks associated with being a principal in the company.
Tom’s wealth of knowledge comes from his experience in the general construction industry across the country. Tom knows his way around the office of a construction company as he has experience in accounting, timekeeping, purchasing, payroll and project audits. Tom oversees the big picture to ensure that MLP keeps moving in the right direction. He holds the position of Secretary/Treasurer as well as handling the administrative, legal and IT facets of the company.
